Hi guys, Im an Arduino tinkerer and I just got some HDC1080 that I want to try out as coffee meters. When I got them and saw they needed to be soldered by machine I was a bit disappointed. I dont think I can solder those by hand, although Ill try :-)
I saw that there is an evaluation module that comes with a USB jack and I also found these sensors on tindie with a I2C interface pins. I am wondering 2 things:
1. What kind of device must I plug in the usb jack of the EVM in order to read the data/view on display? These things will need to be in a humid greenhouse environment where coffee is dried.
2. Im going to need about 20 of these for a full scale trial. Is there another package where I could daisy chain or somehow communicate 20 of these? Im wondering about a pre-made package. I can connect them to a mcu like Arduino and have them send the info over bluetooth but it would be a waste of MCUs.
I also have no electricity for the trial so bluetooth might not be desirable. I would be better to just have a module where I can display about 10 of these sensors on an LCD. Im just wondering if there is a pre-designed package of this sensor which contains many of them in tandem?
Thanks
