HDC1080: The response time of temperature

Hi,

We found that when a great temperature change on HDC1080 in short time, the temperature value HDC1080 output increased slowly, and it became steady after several seconds. In datasheet, I only find the response time of humidity about 15s, can not find that of temperatue. So, why does HDC1080 respond slowly to temperature? How to reduce the response time?

HDC1080 temperature sensor measures the PCB temperature.
When there is a sharp change in the external temperature, the PCB do not change immediately its temperature due to the thermal inertia of the PCB itself.

Good design of PCB and application as indicated in the www.ti.com/.../snaa297.pdf could reduce the time response.
In case this is not possible or is not enough. A thermal characterization of the application has to be performed to predict the final temperature.
