HDC1010: Sensing range of HDC1010

Part Number: HDC1010
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HDC2010

I want to deploy HDC1010 sensors over an office space. Therefore, it is very important for me to know the sensing range of the HDC1010. As of now, I am not sure about how much should I assume about the coverage. Can anyone please elaborate on this as I need to know how many sensors would sufficient to cover certain square feet of area. And what other factors could I place in mind while deploying them.

  • Hi Amit,
This type of humidity sensors need to be in contact with the air to detect humidity. As long as there is an opening in your case to allow molecules of water vapor to go through should be ok. Therefore there is no sense of "range" for this technology. How many sensor you need to populate will depend your environment and system requirements. For more details on the topic please refer to the app note listed below:

Please consider to use our new part....
