Hello,

We would like to sense the human finger.
Currently, we can't get the target detect distance of 3mm.
Are there any countermeasure ?
Please see the following as our conditions.

----
Use LDC1000EVM.
detect distance 3mm

<L specfication>
Outside diameter φ30
Inside diameter φ10mm

25Turn
0.18mm Cu Wire
Inductance value : 12.7uH
----

Hello Ryuuji,

A human finger is not as conductive as it is capacitive. Please, try using FDC1004 instead.

I think that we can to sense the human finger by LDC1000.
Are there any update about LDC situation from above post ?

Hello Ryuji,

The best way of detecting a human finger in water is using touch on metal (flex pcb). Detecting the human finger at a distance will be problematic since human body consists of mostly water.

Hello Ryuji,

You will be able to detect a human finger at 1mm distance or closer. A more robust solution would be to touch the metal (which is the flex PBC) to detect it. Please, let me know if you have any specific questions.
