USING MULTIPLEXED COILS

Hi,

    We are planning to use LDC1000 with 4 coils de-multiplexed with analog switch MC74HC4052A. It has about 200 ohms resistance. We have two questions, 

1) At any given point of time only one coil will be connected to the LDC by appropriately switching the multiplexer. Each coil is about 1cm dia. Each coil center to center is separated by  2 cms.  The target object is about 1 cm in dia and at 5 mm from the coil.  Is this feasible?

2) Does the signal from coil to LDC swings to the negative or does it remain positive always?
