LDC1000EVM not visible in Devise manager

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1000EVM

Hello,

I have  the Problem that I cannot see the LDC1000EVM in the device manager under the Ports (COM &LPT) (Windows 8) any more.

History:

Installed the EVM Software, but driver did not worked, device was visible in the device manager

Installed the sensing solution EMV software, with this also the driver problem seems to be solved.

Reinstalled the EVM Software but a changed of firmware was made (described in different other posts).

I tried to flash the firmware again, but "no devise in BSL found" and also nothing in the device manager could be found (plugged in several times)

Please let me know hox I get the device running, Thanks

  • Hello,
Can you provide some more information about which versions of the GUI, firmware, and program you used to flash the firmware? Can you also open device manager and plug in the LDC1000EVM and see if it shows up at all? It may be the under the HID section if it is unprogrammed.
    Regards,
    Luke
  • Hello,

    I use the LDC1000EVM GUI 1.0.4.1

I tried to flash the firmware inside the LDC1000EVM GUI 1.0.4.1 Software and used the path inside the folder ...\Texas Instruments LDC1000 EVM GUI\Firmware where the LDC1000 Firmware 0x300.txt file is located. I choose this file and press the "Update"-button. Before pressing the Update button under the button could be read: "1 device(s) in BSL found". By pushing the button after some seconds the massage "USB device was unplugged!" appears on the screen and under the Update-button could be read No devices in BSL found."

After unplug and replug the LDC1000EVM board from the USB-port the massage changes again in 1device(s) in BSL found.

The suggestion that  the LDC1000EVM  could be seen in the device manager under the HDI section is right.

Thanks for dealing with my problems,

    Matthias
