LDC1000 EVM does't work

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC1612, LDC1312, LDC1101

Hi,

My customer bought 4 LDC1000 EVMs.

But two in four EVMs doesn't work, the inductance is showed "infinity".

I attached the GUI image.

EVMs which don't work is mentioned "Molex 13293", and EVMs which work is mentioned "Molex13012".

Is there any way solving this problem?

Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hello Kuramochi,

It is possible there is an older firmware on 2 of the EVMs. Are you able to make Rp measurements on all of the LDC1000?

Also, I am starting to recommend use of the LDC1312/4 or the LDC1612/4; these devices are newer generation, operate at 3.3V, and have multiple channels. You may also consider the LDC1101, which is a faster, better tolerance, 1.8V enhanced version of the LDC1000.

  • Hello Chris-san,

    Thank you for your support.

I can't make Rp measurement on all EVMs.

And I updated the firmware to "LDC1000 Firmware 0x300.txt".
    However the result isn't changed.
    (the inductance is showed "infinity")
    Is this updated file correct?

    Thanks,
    Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuramochi,

If you change the graph to the raw data it should not read infinity, The inductance value is calculated on the PC using the device settings which suggests a setting may not be correct. Please go to the configuration page in the GUI and make sure there aren't any invalid settings. If you see any red boxes, enter a valid value and make sure that the Rp min and max values are also set.

    Best regards,

    Blair
