LDC1000 and 1101 maxmam sampling rate

Dear Technical Support Team,

I have a question about LDC1000 and 1101 maxmam sampling rate.

When these samling rates are maxmam(LDC1101:180 ksps, LDC1000: 78 ksps),

do they have some trade off like noise?

If it have some trade off when we use max sampling rate, please let me know.

Hello yi,

on the LDC1101, the response time setting (RP measurement) or RCOUNT setting (LHR measurement) trade off sampling rate and resolution.

Note that the LDC1000 is recommended for metal type identification applications only; for all other applications, the LDC1101 offers many benefits in power system accuracy, power consumption, and cost.

I understand that you don't recommend applications below shown on LDC1000 datahseet .

• Gear-Tooth Counting
• Flow Meters
• Push-Button Switches
• Multi-Function Printers
• Digital Cameras
• Medical Devices

I'd like to use LDC1101 when we need to use SPI(higher speed than i2c ) for above application.
