LDC1101: 24-bit L Resolution

Dear TI researchers,

I would like to clarify what does it mean by "24-bit L Resolution". Does it mean the internal frequency counter has a size of 24 bits?

Or, is there a way to fully utilize 24 bits over a frequency range that I am interested, for example 2.5 MHz to 3 MHz?

Hello Minkyun,

the output code word length is 24 bits. Effective resolution is lower and depends on sensor and device configuration. This apps note has details on the resolution of the LDC1101 and explains how to optimize a system for maximum resolution: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/snoa944/snoa944.pdf
