Dear Sir,

in our design condition, will this temperature affect our design? thanks

inductance coil @(200degC) high temperature.

LDC0851 IC board 60degC.

sensor to IC wire length 70mm.

Hello Lucifer,

You should be fine, although check that the LDC0851 sensor pin connections are indeed within the 125C maximum temperature. It is possible that the high thermal conductivity of the wire connecting the sensor to the LDC could heat up the LDC die above the board temperature.

Dear Sir,

attached LDC0851 Coil patteran I simulated from Webench, it doesn't overlap together (Top and Bottom), is this correct? thanks.

Hello,

That coil looks fine. However, the LDC0851 needs two identical coils to work properly. You will need to duplicate that coil and connect to the LSENSE, LREF, and LCOM pins according to the LDC0851 datasheet. Figure 34 shows a layout example:

Alternatively, you can use the Webench tool for the LDC0851 which automatically generates both coils for either a stacked or side-by-side design. Refer to the following blog for more info:

Note, the most robust design in the presence of a large temperature like you have is a side-by-side coil configuration.
