LDC1612: Inductive Sensing Design Calculator Tool

Hi Team,

My customer considers to use LDC1612 and using "Inductive Sensing Design Calculator Tool".

It seems the tool was updated to rev1.48 (LDC_Tools-ext48.xlsx) in recent days and he said output value of "Sensor Operating Frequency no target" in "Spiral_Inductor_Designer" tab is different from rev1.30 (LDC_Tools-ext30.xlsx) although input parameters are all the same.
Could you tell me the difference between rev1.48 vs rev1.30 at this point?

  • Version 45 of the tool improved the spiral inductor designer calculations. The older version uses a curve fit approach and the newer version uses an image coil method.

    You can see all of the changes made for each version in the "Rev History" tab of the spreadsheet, the leftmost tab.
