I'm looking for a good radar device to use for drone object avoidance. All the information is geared toward automotive.
I need a radar that has -
approx 45 degrees H & V FOV
ability to detect small objects like wood and metal utility poles and (hopefully) utility wires at > 15M distance.
ability to detect trees and other vegetation at > 30M distance.
lightweight.(200g or less) preferable and small.
Update rate of at least 10Hz.
distance accuracy +/- 3 M.
Low cost (< $350).
Analog, SPI, RS-232 or I2C output.
Can anyone tell me where I can find a completed unit that can meet the specs above?

We do not produce modules or complete units as you have inquired about. We do have an Evaluation Module that you could test for the conditions you stated. We have used this Eval Module to 'see' high-voltage power lines in a similar application. If interested, the Eval Module can be viewed here: www.ti.com/tool/iwr1443boost .

Hi Charles, Along with the Boosterpack EVM for IWR14x and IWR16x, there are also modules being produced by a TI partner company, D3. These are not produced or supported by TI, but you can find more information following the links here: www.ti.com/.../thirdpartydevtoolfolder.tsp Please let us know if that helps.
