AWR1443BOOST: Design database gives layout of the AWR1243BOOST. Are the boards the same?

Hi,

I've downloaded the AWR1443BOOST design database (spr260). When looking at the .brd, I notice the layout is actually for the AWR1243BOOST board. Are the layouts compatible? Can I assemble the board in the same manner but place the AWR1443 instead of the AWR1243?

Hi Cesar,

Thanks for the reply! I am trying to modify the board to use off-board antennas instead of the on-board etched antennas. To do this, I will be adding a series of connectors for attaching antennas. Let me know if this helps!

Hello Michael,
The AWR1243 and AWR1443 and footprint compatible. So yes, you can replace the device with the other variant.

Thanks for the reply. Are the boards the exact same? If I wanted to use the AWR1443 instead of the AWR1243 on the AWR1243BOOST board, are there any other component changes I need to make or could I just swap the chips?

We have built the boards via SVtronics , Dallas. They might outsource the actual fabrication to other fab houses.
