Hello Miao,

We have a video explaining data capture using TSW1400, AWR1642BOOST, and mmWave-DEVPACK. training.ti.com/mmwave-sensor-raw-data-capture-using-tsw1400-board

You will need to have all three of these boards for high speed data capture.

Hi AKash,

I ran the SDK of this board, but I wanted to mask the data processing part of it, as long as the collection part, and then I did the data processing.Or there are other ways to use my data processing.

Hi Miao,

If you are using CCS, you can extract the data you want to process:

1) Place a breakpoint in the code after the data has been collected.

2) Follow the steps in this guide to extract the data into a file: 6574.ADC Data Capture SDK1.05 V1.00 (5).pdf

Hi Miao,

You can send the captured data across UART - this is convenient, as the usb can be configured to handle the UART data. In fact, the device is already configured like this in the mmWave Demo. However, UART is restrictive due to the low transfer speed. The device can generate much more raw data than can be transferred with UART.

If you decide to go this route, you can modify the demo found at <mmwave_sdk_01_02_00_05\packages\ti\drivers\test\mem_capture\xwr14xx> to transfer data the data it collects with the UART. You can manually collect this data by following the directions in this document:1602.ADC Data Capture SDK1.05 V1.00.pdf

Hi Miao,

The Out of Box Demo - found at <SDK_INSTALL_DIR>\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\mmw processes the raw adc data into a point cloud. This is a good place to start if you want to see how the data is processed.
