IWR1642: RF Probe Test Board Availability

Part Number: IWR1642

Hi,

The following is stated at P9 of the below URL.
>> 4.2 RO 3003 Sequential Stackup Example - AWR 1642 RF Probe Test Board
>> IWR 1642 RF Probe Test Board

URL: http: //e2e.ti.com/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/1023/2526.mmWave_5F00_hw_5F00_design_5F00_guide_5F00_rev_5F00_9.pdf

By separating the antenna and measuring up to the antenna feeding part,
My customer think that it will be a reference for PCB design.
Please tell us the schedule of selling the IWR 1642 RF Probe Test Board.

  • Hello,
The RF Test board, is used by the test engineers at TI. There is not a plan to sell this board. We can research if we can send you the schematic and sample layout.

This board is used to connect an RF probe to a stripline RF trace. This is not used with antennas.

If you want to research different antennas to a specific mmwave sensor, a different suggestion, would be to make a mmwave sensor to 1mm connector or RF attachment coax. The experimental antenna card would have a 1mm connector, or RF attachment coax. Note: the 1mm connectors are not inexpensive. However in the place of the 1mm connector, you can use a coax connection.

Also, in your mmwave sensor development, please consider having the HD60 connector for the LVDS data, so you can use the TSW1400 and DCA1000 data capture cards.

    An example of 80Ghz connectors is " rfcoax.com/.../W-Band.html ".
