Hello,

I have gone through the documents for ti's mmwave sensors and found that Vmax, IFmax, dmax and slope of chirp are related to each other.

I have an application in which I need to have Vmax = 50 to 60 m/s, Dmax = 150-200 m.

I have AWR1642 EVM kit, but I am not able to figure out, will it suitable for my application.

Please can you suggest me, Which is good for my application as mentioned above, AWR1243 or AWR1642 or any other.

For 150-200m you will need to use an AWR1243

KN,

40m/sec should be possible assuming typical long range automotive application usecase. Also there are multiple Vmax extension signal processing techniques to enhance the Max velocity further.

You can refer to SRR TI design which although is Short range application using AWR1642, would give some picture about all key parameters. Since AWR1642 has 5MHz IF BW, it limits the Range and is suitable for Short Range applications within 100m. AWR1243 with 15M IF BW would increase the range and Max velocity.
