AFE4490: Register to turn off LEDs

Part Number: AFE4490

I created a PCB that uses an AFE4490 for pulse oximetry. It is stand alone and powered by a battery. So save power, I'd like to turn off the LEDs unless my mobile app requests to capture data.

Currently, I set LEDCNTRL to 0x010000, which theoretically sets a current of 0 mA to each of the LEDs. But when I put my board in this state, I can still see a dim red light coming from the red LED. Tried this on the AFE4490SP02EVM board as well, and the same thing happens.

Anyone knows how which registers to set to what values to turn off my LEDs to save battery power?

Thanks!
