AFE4490SPO2EVM: Differences between AFE4400 and AFE4490 EVMs

I have with me 2 EVMs with firmware version 1.4. When I send commands to look up the firmware revision or device info I get the correct response from the AFE4400SPO2EVM but the AFE4490SPO2EVM returns a lot of junk bytes. I have flushed the serial input line before sending the command so I don't understand why this is happening.

Hi,

Can you please program each of the EVM with the respective firmware ( and it should be v1.3) and repeat the experiments?
Location ( For Windows 7) of the firmware is" C:\Program Files(x86)\Texas Instruments\AFE44x0SPO2EVM GUI\Firmware Updater"

Both EVMs have v1.4 firmware on the TI website, where is the v1.3 firmware available?

Hi,

Can you please try with v1.3?
V1.3 firmware should be available in the installation directory of the GUI ( as mentioned in previous reply).

BTW, in other thread you said you are able to change settings using the AFE4490's GUI?
