I am trying to using the PGA900 to output data on the UART as quickly as possible. it seems that the UART should be able to go up to 250kbaud (baud divider at 0). However when I set the baud divider at 0 or 1 the UART doesn't seem to work anymore. At 2 it generates the expected baud of 83.3 kbaud but it seems to shutdown below that. Is 83.3 kbaud the maximum?

Hi Joseph, the max. baud rate for UART is 19.2 kbps. The min. baud divider is 12. We will add this to the datasheet. Thanks,

Javier, Thanks for the quick reply. The UART does seem to work up to 83.3 kbps although the baud rates at those speeds are non-standard. I guess this is not supported though.

Joseph, yes, UART was only defined and supported up to 19.2 kbps for the PGA900. Thanks,

Hello Javier,

When you plan add this information into datasheet?
As I can see in datasheet there are still no information about it.

We want to use PGA900 in cooperation with standard RS-485 at speed up to 115200.
As I understand it's impossible now. May be TI planning to fix it in next releases?

Another one question about error resulting of constant of 250000 in calculation.
For example at 9.6 Kbaud we get 4.2%. It's so much value for most applications. Can it be fixed in some ways?
