I am working with a PGA970EVM. I followed following steps in the high level configuration:
1. Interface setting, ADC setting and DAC settings were left default. I tried Shutdown Mode enabled as well as disabled.
2. In the waveform generation section function type is sine wave. The rest of the settings like gain, amplitude, frequency etc. were left as they were. Then I populated the waveform data table and clicked write. I did not get any error during that operation. Then I hit 'Generate' button.
3. On the ADC Capture page, I always get a straight horizontal line regardless of the position of the LVDT probe. The amplitude is not 0, but around 12 V which is also strange. When I check the voltage across the primary output the DMM shows zero RMS voltage.
So after this I disconnected everything because I didn't want to burn out something on the board. After following the steps in the GUI guide, I am not getting any real output from the EVM. I did not follow the steps related to flashing hex files as I assumed that the EVM will have the basic programme already flashed on it.
