PGA900: Low power mode? (See description below)

Part Number: PGA900

This may seem like an odd question for an analog output signal conditioner, but I have an application where I just need the digital output, but need a low power solution. Why not use an ADC?  I still want the 24bit (or higher) ADC tailored for strain gages, built in temp comp, ref, and ARM, but need lower power and just a digital output (SPI or I2C).  Why not just pair an AD1220 with a low power processor, you ask?  I am considering the PGA900 for use in its true intent (analog output signal conditioner), and would like the architecture to be common except for code.  I.e. I don't want two different product variations.
