Please Suggest a Temperature sensor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM57

Sir

Please suggest a temperature sensor for using in a micro controller based project for measuring temperature and humidity. in a room. The sensor can be either a single component or individual component's.

Thanking you

  • Hi Prasanth,

Thank you for your inquiries. In order for us to suggest a temperature sensor, do you know what is the temperature  accuracy? What is the temperature and power supply range?

  • Sir

I want to develop a product for measuring room temperature and humidity. Room temperature will be within -10C to 60C, but I want to use this temp sensor as common sensor for more application. So I want a temp sensor with range b/w -30C to +150C. And accuracy should be two decimal points. and power supply up to 5V.

  • Hi Prasanth,

We meet most of your requirements; unfortunately we are unable to meet the accuracy specification of two decimal points (for example 0.09°C). We do not have anything that can meet that yet. I am wondering if we can have a conference call to find out what kind of application. We may able to assist you. Please let me know.

Thank you. I am forwarding to hearing from you.

  • Sir

My project is for measuring room temperature in a work space. I need a temperature sensor atleast an accuracy of one decimal point at a temp range of -40 to +150C. Please suggest a good sensor that can be useful for developing multiple applications

  • Hi Prasanth,

The LM57 analog temperature sensor would be the best choice for your application. Many microcontrollers have built-in ADCs that you can use to monitor the output voltage of the LM57. Please read through the LM57 datasheet, let me know if you have any question.
