Hello,

Is SM-USB-DIG in TMP-006 EVM kits compatible with TMP007 EVM.

if I have one TMP-006EVM, can I reuse SM-USB-DIG module with TMP007 chip. I don't want spend money to buy a new TMP007 EVM if not necessary? I don't see why this TMP007 module is cost $100?

Hi DAvid,

You can resuse the DIG module, but the TMPoo7 requires different software. This can be downloaded form the TMP007 EVM product folder.

The TMP006 has Data Ready on pin C2 where TMP007 has Alert on pin C2. In both cases, C2 is an open drain output that requires a pull-up.

TMP007 has slightly larger outer dimensions than TMP006, but the landing pattern is the same.

The devices are otherwise pin and footprint compatible.
