TMP 102 and AM335x interface problems

Hi,

I am interfacing a TMP 102 to an AM335x ICE V2.0 board. I have placed the read inside the i2c_led demo program loop so after the LED's are changed I just read the TMP 102. This is mostly successful as shown here:

Occasionally it times out in the read. That is the AM335x routine returns FAIL which means it waited too long for the end of the message. This picture is one of those reads. I cannot see anything wrong with the signal. I noticed some other questions about the TMP 102 and AM335x but could not find any code samples reading it. Would you have some or a pointer to some examples.

Hi Jim,

I don't see anything wrong with the signal either. I have contacted the AM335x team to see if they have any sample code of this device with any of our TMP parts so you can use as a reference. I will keep you updated.

Hi Jim,

Not sure if you are using Linux but the AM335x Apps engineer found this Linux driver in mainline:
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/hwmon/tmp102.c

It might need revision but it can be good guide for you.
