LM95071 SC pulse timing

Hi

LMP95071 Data sheet (SNIS137D) page11 ,Figure11 is see and question.

1) When reading 13Bit(16Bit-2bytes) data, is it necessary to STOP "SC" every 8Bits ?.

(Is a period of a "RED ARROW" on a figure necessary?)

2) When giving 16pulses of SC continuously, is there a problem ?.

3) SC is stopped on the way in Figure11, but is time of the period to make SC "LOW" prescibed ?.

4) Power-up, just after initialization is "continuous conversion" mode,

so do you think it isn't necessary to do "Writing convertion mode" of Figure13 ?.

Best Regards

  • Hi cafain,

    1. It is not necessary to stop SC every 8 bits, a continuous SC is fine.
    2. There is no problem giving 16 pulses of SC continuously. The part has a limit of 32 SC pulses before CS must go high.
    3. The part triggers on the edge of SC so no particular period is prescribed.
    4. It is not necessary to do a writing conversion mode operation after power up.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
