Pure I2C interface Fan controller with remote sensing

Hello,

              Customer survey 1-ch or 2-ch remote sensing integrated fan controller as LM63,LM96163....etc. But they would like pure I2C interface not SMBus compatible interface due to happen some issue before on SMBus compatible device. 

              Do we have any suggest solution to customer or any comments? Thank you.

    Hi Patrick,

    The parts you listed are both two wire and SMBus compatible. In fact, we use the I2C protocol to communicate with the fan controller devices in our LM63LM64LM96x63EVM. What are the issues the customer have with SMBus? Our part may be able to work with those issues.
