Hi
Wanted to see if your TMP006 solution can be used to measure body temperature?
Adults versus babies?
Level of accuracy?
Has this ever been tried before?
Could we use multiple sensors or in conjunction with another sensor to improve accuracy?

Tyrone,
Thanks for your interest in our TMP006. We have had many inquires into Body temp measuremnts. The capabilies of the TMP006 are based on a few factors.. Distance of the object from the sensor, the emissivity of the object (human Skin is pretty high .9 so Baby vs. Adult i don't think would be much different), and the field of View. This device was designed for close proximity measurements but with the use of optics, distance measurements could be possible. Close proximity accuracy with per unit calibration could be as good as +/-1°C, out of the box +/-3°c. With distance and optics, we have not tested in this area, so I really can't speak to the accuracy.
Hope this help.
