tmp-007 can't get negative values on contiki

Can anyone tell me why whenever I try to read a value below zero on the tmp-007 sensor I start getting very high (500+) readings instead?

The Sensor Voltage Result and Local Temperature Result registers are both in a 2's complement format to signify negative numbers. If your software does not interpret this correctly, it could have the effect you are describing.
