lmt88 esd spec

HI

Does LMT88DCKR have ESD MM spec?

  • Hi Kevin,

I'll have to dig this up and get back to you.

  • Hi Kevin,

As a policy TI no longer supports the machine model ESD specification on new devices, we instead support the charged device model  (CDM) which more realistically represents what would happen to the device in a production environment.

The datasheet shows that the Charged-device model (CDM), per JEDEC specification JESD22-C101 rating is  ±250 V.

Please note that the JEDEC document JEP157 states that 250-V CDM allows safe manufacturing with a standard ESD control process.

But I have found out that this is a mistake that this should be a machine model specification per JESD22-A115 at 250V. So you have your answer and we have a mistake that will be fixed at the next datasheet update. At that time we will also publish the CDM ESD rating as well.

Thank you  and big apologies for the delayed response to  your question.

    Take care,

  • Hi Emmy,

    so can i say that

    1. after the TI policy, all of TI production do not provide this kind spec?

    2. If customer still want to have it, can i say i can use CDM to replace MM spec?

    3. Can you provide me the policy documentation?

    thanks.

  • Hi Kevin,

If we have the Machine model specification we will provide it but on new devices we will not take the data.
Here are the specifications for the two models can be found on the JEDEC site. I believe you can download them once registered.
It is up to the customer to decide if CDM is acceptable over MM.

Please contact me directly if I have not answered your questions.

    Take care,
