Developing a Card size Temperature sensor using TMPxxx !

Hello everyone,

I am new to TMPxxx and got lots of questions regarding it.

I hope i will get more than enough help from experts, researchers and other members of TI.

TMP00x is one of the best non-contact type heat sensor as far as i have seen till now and i want to develop a card size heat sensor using it to detect the human heat signature. Research shows that it can be interface using I2c, SMbus or two wire with arduino or raspberry PI. Instead of interfacing with arduino or raspberry PI, can it be interface directly to any microcontroller and implemented in a ID Card size module. My knowledge is not enough to do it on my own. Using sensors and interfacing them with PIC microcontroller is easy for me. But with this i have no idea how to do it. I think i am far behind the recent technologies.

ALso, i have seen the MSPxxx products, few of them have I2C features. Can MSPxx and TMPxx interface together.

Thank you for your time and concerns.
