TMP007EVM: Software can not start

Hi all,

I have just received my TMP007EVM evaluation kit.
I've connected parts together, installed the HID driver according to the user manual. OK.

During installing the TMP007EVM software I got the message,
"Cannot install NI Security Update 67L8L0QW for cw3dgrph.ocx (higher version already installed)".
Aside of this message, installation progressed and completed successfully.
However, when the program is run, I get an error while "Loading Main.vi ..."
And the program stops after Windows 7 can find no solution to the problem.

Can anyone suggest what to do?

I'm sorry you are having trouble. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be of much assistance without a way to reproduce the problem myself.

I would suggest uninstalling and re-installing the TMP007EVM software first.

This EVM software is written in National Instrument's LabVIEW programming language. The error message that you have received pertains to their security patch. There is some information regarding this patch here: digital.ni.com/.../C4619A438F7E78E486257B360050BD7D

You could also use the software intended for TMP007EASYCALEVM with your TMP007EVM. www.ti.com/.../tmp007easycalevm When used this way, the EasyCalEVM software will report an invalid reference temperature reading due to the missing TMP112 hardware, but the other portions of the software will work correctly.
