Hi:

         I've been using TMP006EVM on object temperature measuring , found that the measured temperature is far lower than the actual object temperature and beating more than 10 ℃.Picture 2 and 3 pictures shows development board from 7mm object to be tested,the Objects at 54 ℃  however TMP006EVM measured results is only about 40 ℃ and jumping from 36℃ to 49℃, how can I improve the measurement precision and reduce the jitter,thanks!

    Hi TongSiPu,

    Thanks for including pictures. The TMP006 sensor can see the environment behind the measured object, and to the sides of the sensor. We recommend that TMP006 and TMP007 applications include a Field-Of-View restriction in their mechanical design. To improve your test results with the EVM, try placing your setup inside a box.
