TMP112: Architecture of Temp to Digital converter and Alert output

Guru 20090 points
Part Number: TMP112
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM92, , TMP102

Hello,

Is the temperature-to-digital conversion and alert output architecture of TMP112 same as LM92?

Our customer using LM92 in their old model.
In next project there is requirement of under 1mm height.

Since LM92 height is 1.75mm, We will promote TMP112.
They said that they had trouble with the temperature sensor in the past and want to use a product with the same architecture as the proven LM92.

Best Regards,
Ryuji

  • No, LM92 does not share architecture with TMP112.

LM92 was designed by National Semiconductor around the year 2000. Texas Instruments acquired National Semiconductor in 2011.

TMP102 was designed by Texas Instruments around the year 2007. TMP102 shares architecture with TMP112.

TMP102 and TMP112 are industry leading products for TI with millions of units sold. I hope that your customer will consider TMP112.

    Thanks,
