TMP007: Abnormal behavior

Hi, for our new system for smoke detection and heat sources we are testing the TMP007, but during the tests we have noticed abnormal behaviors:
- the temperature of the die, in the absence of variations, drops suddenly, also decreasing the temperature
- With lower ambient temperatures it can better follow the temperature fluctuations.

We are waiting for help.

    Hi Enrico,

    Ambient temperature changes are always a problem for all types of infrared temperature sensing technology. For this reason, you should design your enclosure to limit exposure to ambient temperature change and air movement.
