TMP100: Can the frame 4 data byte2 shown in Fig7 be omitted for the configuration resister setting?

Part Number: TMP100

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is programming I2C write sequence for TMP100 configuration register setting to evaluate the device.

They have a few questions as the follow.

Q1: Can the frame 4 data byte2 shown in Fig7 be omitted for the configuration resister setting because the register data format is 1 byte? In other word, is the frame 4 databyte always needed for any register writing?

Q2: When data is written into TMP100, TMP100 returns acknowledge to master. What is the acknowledge output timing? Does TMP100 pull down SDA during period from 8th SCL falling edge to 9th SCL falling edge?

Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya Nakai.
