LMT01: Looking for Temperature probe

Hello,

I am looking for a temperature probe package for ground temperature sensing.

In another post i saw that these probes exist for the LMT01 IC but I could not find any further information on those probes.

    Texas Instruments does not produce probes. We have worked with partner companies to create probes. My colleague will reply shortly with the names of the partner companies.

    Hi Erik,

    Thank you for reaching to us. Yes, there is a few device that can be built into probes: LMT01, TMP116, and LMT70. What is the accuracy specs and temperature range that you are looking for? For LMT01 two pins device, you can drive a long cable length up to 3m, but we tested up to 30m, and we have no issue reading the temperature. However, it is sensitive to capacitance loading, so the longer cable is hence the pulse count output waveform will be liked sawtooth. The TMP116, this is most accurate local temperature available in the market; however, it can be only drive short length cable less than 2m via I2C interface.

    Hello Aaron,

    Thank you for your reply. The temperature range will be from around -10 to 40 degrees celsius, for accuracy a maximum of 1 degree celsius deviation. The cable length is not critical, the sensor will be quite close to a controller. A sample probe would be good to have to design and test the rest of the application.

    LMT01 should be the right choice for your applications. Unfortunately, I can't send the probe samples immediately becasue I am on the business trip.
