do you have a formula to calculate the total accuracy of the TDC1000, that includes the frequency used, LNA characteristics etc.?

Hello Basil,

For time of flight the accuracy is solely determined by the transmit frequency. Any latency in the internal circuitry is negligible. Where the accuracy is really determined is in the device that measures the time difference between the start and stop signals.

As far as resolution goes, the formula would be: step size = (1/transmit frequency)*(speed of sound in the medium)
