TDC1000-GASEVM

I want to validate my data with the webench site.

so :
I test/verification TDC100-TDC7200EVM to evaluate for a new product and save some data.

and  i go on :option sensor=> ultrasonic sensing=> water/gas...

confirm my calculation, I take the formala on wedench:

but I calculate with the formula and I do not  find the webench result.

find my calculation on attached file:

6320.webench caculation.xlsx

could you verified my calculation and/or webench and corrected me if I did an error?

thanks in advance

  • hello all

    i review my calculation but I do not find any error:

    Medium Speed of Sound: 1480
    L 0,18 m
    D 0,127279221 m
    (Flow rate [liter/hour]) 30000 l/h

    calculation data

    Flow rate [m/s] = 0,654958614 m/s
    tBA = 121,584 µs
    tBA = 121,660 µs
    delta             76,11635 ns

     flow rate   calculate        delta TOF

       webench       delta TOF

         ratio
    3000 7,611 5,655 1,345888594
    5000 12,686 9,425 1,345994695
    10000 25,372 18,85 1,345994695
    30000 76,116 56,55 1,345994695

    could you help me to understand where this ratio comes from?

    thanks in advance

    Ps: find my calculation on attached file:

  • Hello Vivien,

    Your calculation does seem to be correct. I will look into the webench calculator and get back to you.

    Regards,
  • hello

    i double check the toll

    and it is updated

    thanks for all

  • Hello

    I have a question related to this subject:

    Considering that in the side-by-side configuration there is no component of fluid velocity along the pipe diameter.

    Using the following formulas is not more correct?

    tAB=[D/speed of sound]+[L/speed of sound+flow rate]

    tBA=[D/speed of sound]+[L/speed of sound-flow rate]

    Of course, this makes no difference in the d-tof

  • hello
    it seems that the Ti formula have some reduction.

    speed of sound+-flow rate =~ speed of sound

    for me, that is reason why Ti have this formula
    but your formula is better than TI formula

    id :

    you said : Considering that in the side-by-side configuration there is no component of fluid velocity along the pipe diameter.

    but in side-by-side, you have 2 mirror
