I wonder what's purpose of the 200Ω resistor?

    I was uncertain myself, so I tested it with and without the resistor in place, and no transducers connected. It limits the amplitude of the transmit signal, presumably to fall within the voltage rating of the switch that is used in the design. See the scope shots below:

    With 200ohm to ground:

     Without 200ohm to ground
