TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Max no of time tdc1000 register can be programmed

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

Hi,

I want to know, is there any limitation is there to change tdc1000 register settings.

My applicatoin is to measure liquid height in steel tank with two ultasonic sensors both at different location on bottom of  tank for this i am planning to excite both one after another. Can some one suggest me best TDC1000 working mode. I am planning to use mode 0 and in firmware i  will change channel after each excitation. I heared that in mode 2 auto swaping is there so no need for channel swaping in firmware but in mode2 we have to use combination of TX1/RX1 and TX2/RX2. Is it possible to use TX1/Rx2 and Tx2/Rx1 combination in mode 2. If not why?

thanks

  • Hello,

There is no specified limit to the number of times the registers can be rewritten.

It is not possible to use TX1/RX2 and TX2/RX1 combinations in Mode 2. On the EVM the transducers are wired in that combination for ease of use when measuring flow. With some small changes to the EVM you can have them wired for your application.

Here is an example. Just remove the resistors shown, and solder wires to the empty resistor pads as indicated.
