TDC7200: TDC7200 with Arduino Mega

Hello,

in our school we have to construct a device with that asthmatic people can measure their volumetric flow. For now we can send and receive a signal with our ultrasonic sensors (A-14P20) and in the next step we try to measure the TOF. For this measurment we use a TDC7200-Shield and the Arduino Mega, but our problem is that we are not the best Arduino-Programmer. So my question is, if someone has a similar program or can someone help us.

Hello Patrick,

To my knowledge an arduino library specifically for the TDC7200 does not exist. However, the firmware for the MSP430 which is part of the TDC1000-TDC7200 and the TDC7201-ZAX-EVM is available for reference, and provides example code for the SPI functions necessary to read and write the registers of the TDC7200 for configuration and data collection. You will find the reference firmware and example code in the installation directory after installing the GUI located here: www.ti.com/.../tdc7201-zax-evm

The code for the MSP430 will not directly port to the arduino, but the basic communication structure will get you started.

Thanks for your answer, maybe you can help me with the following problem. I use the program, "https://github.com/Roboy/TDC7200/blob/24e08aa543e64e41793c7abf16c47dbc82ddb69d/TDC7200_v1.5_4Stops/TDC7200_v1.5_4Stops.ino#L47 "but when I start this program there is a problem with line 47. Do you know how I can fix this error? Thanks for your help.

I'm not familiar with this program, but did you download the header file from that repository as well? It defines the Tdc7200 class and will be necessary in order to generate an instance of it in the main program.
