TDC1000-GASEVM: Purpose of filter after boost converter

Part Number: TDC1000-GASEVM

Hi,

I am designing my own GASEVM boost board for use with 1 MHz transducers for liquid flow sensing. I am wondering what the purpose of the filter defined by C7 and R13 (and C10, R18) are? And how has the values been chosen?

Thanks in advance

Regards,
Thibault

  • Hi Thibault,

This filter is on the receive path of the system, which feeds into a low-noise amplifier in the TDC1000. The resistor and capacitor are used to create a band pass filter, and their values are selected relative to an internal 9kΩ resistor and 30pF capacitor. More detailed information on the low-noise amplifier, the receive path, and selection of passive component values can be found on page 13-14 of the TDC1000 datasheet

    Regards,
