AWR1642: AWR1642 in mmWave Visualizer - no data

Were you able to see it this time?

In Tera Term here are the versions. Are there additional CLI commands that would be helpful? When Issue Sensorstart I see the power supply increase periodically to an additional 120mA on the 5V rail, and Sensorstop brings it back down, so I am assuming at least the DSS is running.

Did you click on the "Plots" tab of the Demo Visualizer? Since no error messages are being displayed in the CLI console, there should be no issue with running the Out of Box Demo.

Please upload a screenshot of what you are seeing in the "Plots" tab.

Thank you for your assistance.

Yes, I have clicked in the PLOTS tab many times, there is no activity, no plots, and if I try to capture data the file has 0 bytes.  About the only thing I can do in the PLOTS tab is start/stop the sensor.

Are there any extensions to the CLI interface that can give me a more detailed status?  I can give you a screenshot if you'd like, but it doesn't have anything, usually with the board on my bench and a AWR1642BOOST I see the ceiling and the movement of the fan blades.

Kyle - sorry, this did not resolve. This is a new design based on the AWR1642BOOST.

What changes did you make on your board in comparison to the AWR1642BOOST? This could present an issue from a debugging standpoint if you designed a custom board.

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for your response.  There is no LVDS interface, and I needed to reassign a few of the GPIO's to use the dual CAN interfaces.  I did not use the SPI2.  But the XDS110, etc. is the same, for debugging purposes.

I don't see activity on the temperature sensor I2C - is that a clue?

I do have the datalogger signals going from the AWR1642 to the XDS110.  I tried to keep it as identical as possible.

These boards are all so consistent, they aren't flaky at all, do the same thing, draw the same amount of power.

Do those versions from Tera Term seem right to you?  Is there a way to use the CLI to dump status from the DSS or BSS or control them directly?

I will paste the schematics separetely.

Vivek Dham reviewed the schematics before I released the boards to fab.

Also, where are you located? can I bring one to you? It is a single board, very small (about 2.25"x2.25") with a micro USB connector.
