OPT8241: Question on the possible Wavelengths of Operation

We purchased the Time of Flight Evaluation Kit that came with the OPT9221 Controller and the OPT8241 sensor. After reading the spec sheet in more detail I noticed that the OP8241 optical transmittance seems pretty narrow in the IR spectrum. My main question is to see where the Optical filter is located and if we could remove it to sense light in the visible spectrum. Thanks in Advance for any potential Help. Great Product.

Hi,

OPT8241 has the IR filter on the package. Though theoretically it is possible to remove the filter, TI does not have a variant in which the filter is filter is removed.
