Hello

I have a question about the Cascaded AWR1243 system.

In Evaluation board, TI not considering difference between Analog and Digital ground. for example, connect ground of TM4C1294NCPDT to RF gnd.

Is it necessary to separate analog and digital ground in PCB?

If is necessary, how to make separation is better?

Thanks for your attention

I realized that i did not get separated RF and Digital ground.

I have board like you, have 6 layers that L2 and L5 are ground. Antennas and AWR1243s are in top layer.

In L4, the 1.8_IO, 1.8, 1.2 and 2.3 voltages are present and in L3 are differntial lines, SPIs, OSC CLKOUT and SINC IN

In this two layer and also the sixth layer (that other component are present) there is a lot of free space.

Can I get this free space to ground plane?

Hello Tom,
Sure, you can use the free space to have more ground and connect this gnd to other layers (L2 and L5) using lot of GND vias.
