Does each electrode are two sided? This figure from design tool.

Hi Janine,
The sensor above is one sided, it can sense stuff from the sides and top but nothing should be picked up from the ground plane side.

Thank you Bala.

We come up with this design, has 2 touch buttons on each side and proximity sensor at the center. The problem is, when i touch the buttons, the proximity sensor can detect also (vice-versa).

Is there a solution for this problem?

Hi Janine,
As mentioned earlier the sensor is going to detect all the activities on the sensor plate side (top). One solution that I can think of is to have sensor plates on both sides (top and bottom), instead of sensor plate on top and ground plate on bottom. This can also help improve your sensor sensitivity. This way you can isolate the sensor head and the touch buttons (top and bottom).

Dear Bala

We can't put the sensor at the bottom side of the PCB. Bottom side where components are placed. The pink one is our sensor head and yellow one is copper ring (no connection). Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Janine,
In that case, you can either move the red touch buttons further away from the sensor head or you can decrease the sensor head's size which will decrease its sensitivity. I believe we also have a private message with related questions going on, so I will go ahead and close this thread.
