We're slowly starting to get somewhere with the demos! However, it would help if we could get some example Matlab code for the OOB mmwave visualiser demos.

I found this link from a previous post, but capture\gui isn't available in SDK 2.00.04 or 3.00:

"It's the capture_demo.m script at the following location: C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_01_01_00_02\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\capture\gui"

The only real example is the people counter, but I would imagine that some Matlab code is also available for some of the other demo too?

Hi Sanjeev,

The standard SDK demo (out of box demo) actually uses a GUI Composer visualizer, so there is no Matlab code available for it. There are several other labs that do use a MATLAB gui and the .m code is included with these labs. These labs include People Counting, Zone Occupancy, Area Scanner, and 14xx Vital Signs.

However, these are all slightly different to the OOB demos. As mentioned in my previous post (I think it was your advice) there should be a Matlab script "capture_demo.m" available too, but I can't find it in the newer SDKs.

Hi Sanjeev,

The capture_demo has been eliminated in the newer SDK's. For Raw Data Capture we recommend using the DCA1000EVM along with MMWAVE-STUDIO.

Dear Akash,

What we really need is a script for the point cloud data. If I'm not mistaken, the DCA1000EVM is intended for capturing raw ADC data before the X,Y,Z computation.

If you have something that you can send us, that would be great.

Hi Sanjeev,

The Zone Occupancy Lab has a great visualizer which will illustrate the point cloud data and also extract that data into a frame by frame spread sheet. It is compatible with both 14xx and 16xx devices, dev.ti.com/.../
