FDC2214EVM: Use FDC2214EVM for More than 4 Sensors

Hi,

I have experimented with the FDC2214EVM board and have had really good experience with the integrated PCBs and the GUI. However, for my application, I have 8 capacitive sensors in total. Therefore, I am wondering is it possible to modify the current eval board or combine two eval boards so that I can use the same the controller circuit and GUI to communicate with 8 sensors?

If you have a second computer, it would be pretty simple to use a separate EVM + GUI to do this. Unfortunately, there isn't a simple way of doing this without two computers.

Thanks for your response, Clancy. If I have two computers, is it possible to sync the two EVM?

There is no easy way to completely synchronize. The data logging only keeps track of the relative time. The only sync methods will be imprecise (starting streaming at the same time, moving a metal plate closer to sensors from both EVMs at the same time, etc.)
