Hi,
I'm searching for a HFSS Model of the RF outputs/inputs of the AWR1243, since we are trying to change the transition between the chip and the PCB.
Are there any models of these output/input pins available?
Sincerely
Daniel

Hi,
All the design files available are provided on EVM webpage
http://www.ti.com/tool/awr1243boost
Thank you

Hi again,
I'm aware of these design files, but there is no HFSS model (or similar) to simulate user-specific transitions for the chip. Since we do not won't to use GCPW at our PCB, we need this files/information.
Can you provide me such models? Who should I ask for this Information?
Sincerely
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
We don't generally provide HFSS models. You can need to export the HFSS data from Altium.

Adrian
Hello Adrian,
thank you for your answer. Actually the information from Altium does not really help, since I need information about the input impedance of the TX, and RX Ball-Pins to model a suitable transition.
How have you modelled the transition? In SPRACG5 (TI mmWave Radar sensor RF PCB Design, Manufacturing and Validation Guide) it says: "If the customer chooses to use a different PCB substrate, the package to PCB transition needs to be re-designed, [...]."
How can the customer re-design the transition, whithout information about the Ball-Grid-Pin of the TX/RX signals (HFSS model or similar)?
Regards,
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
Detailed HFSS models of our RF ports are available under NDA, kindly contact your local sales representative for more details.
