OPT3007: OPT3007 application problems

Part Number: OPT3007
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPT3006, OPT3004

Hi expert,

When debugging the OPT3007, it was found that the photosensitive part was at the bottom of the chip.

Attached is the updated PCB design file and screenshot, please help to confirm whether this is feasible.

In addition, FPCB has been mentioned in the specification, does it mean that this chip must be made of FPCB?

Can ordinary PCB board meet this requirement? Is there the thickest requirement for PCB thickness?

  • Hi,

Why is OPT3007 being used as opposed to OPT3004 which looks up and does not require a hole in the PCB? OPT3007 or 3007 requires a hole in the PCB. With such a small hole the thickness effects performance and how much light gets through the hole. We only advice OPT3006/7 if smallest size is essential as there is extra work for manufacturing with the small tolerances.

    Best,
